You could say that history is my life. I have been study history for at least fifty years, and when I first got on the Internet, my online mission was to promote the history papers I had written. Since 2016 I have been recording the “History of Southeast Asia Podcast.” I have two motivations to discuss this part of the world. First, I am old enough to remember the Vietnam War, but it seems that the rest of my generation doesn’t want to talk about it. Second, my wife is from a Southeast Asian country — the Philippines. Currently I live in central Kentucky (Bluegrass Country), but I was also in Orlando, Florida for forty years (1966-2006), so I can tell you much about both places.
