Women’s Contingencies

In the Christian facing world, the rules said women need a man – Father, Husband, Brother – to give them a place in society. But what if – through War, Time or just Bad Luck – she finds herself without an official man in her life? We’ll be looking at some of the contingencies women have followed when they found themselves untethered and outside the rules in different places and times.
